Your Small Contribution...
A Lifeline for a Precious Young Soul

– 15-year-old Veerendranath was struck by cancer at a crucial stage of his education.
– His father passed away due to illness.
– A dire situation: he has lost sensation in his legs and his eyesight due to the cancer.
– His grandparents plead desperately to save the life of their grandson—a life now flickering like a dying flame.

Gogula Veerendranath is a 15-year-old boy hailing from Talapula Balajipeta in the Talapula Mandal of Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh. He is currently pursuing his first year of Intermediate studies at the Government Junior College in Talapula. Veerendranath's father, Gogula Prasad Babu, passed away on October 24, 2018, due to health complications. Since then, Veerendranath has been living with his grandmother, Gogula Venkatalakshmamma, and grandfather, Gogula Venkataramana; he completed his 10th-grade education while attending a government school. In 2025, he enrolled in the first year of Intermediate studies at the Government Junior College in Talapula. However, fate dealt a cruel blow: 15-year-old Veerendranath was unexpectedly diagnosed with brain cancer. The diagnosis was confirmed in May 2025. He has since undergone chemotherapy and radiation therapy treatments at MNJ Cancer Hospital and Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital, as well as at Omega Hospital in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. Following radiation therapy, he completely lost sensation in both legs, rendering him unable to move them. Compounding this plight, the emergence of cancerous tumours in his head and near his eyelids has resulted in total blindness. His grandparents—Gogula Venkatalakshmamma and Gogula Venkataramana—are elderly and have absolutely no source of income. Against this backdrop, Virendra Nath’s maternal aunt, Banda Vijayalakshmi, has been supporting him for the past year; she has gone above and beyond her financial means—even incurring significant debt—to cover his transportation, CT scans, MRI scans, blood tests, food, accommodation, medical expenses, and medication costs. Currently, they do not have a single penny left to their name. The cancer has spread rapidly, affecting Virendra Nath’s head, nose, and eyes, and extending all the way to his spine. Virendra Nath now requires an emergency surgical operation. The hospital authorities have estimated that this procedure will cost approximately Rs. 4 to 5 lakhs. With no current income and no funds available to pay for the surgery, Virendra Nath’s grandparents—Venkatalakshmamma and Venkataramana—are earnestly pleading with donors to come forward and help save their grandson's life. Virendra Nath is currently undergoing treatment at MNJ Cancer Hospital. We appeal to donors to understand the plight of Virendra Nath—who is in a distressing condition, unable to see or move his legs—and to extend a helping hand by contributing whatever amount they can. Contributions may be sent via PhonePe or Google Pay to his sister's mobile number, Banda Nikhita (78420 41866), or to his State Bank of India Account Number 42815841628 (IFSC CODE: SBIN0021589).
