Women Journalists Empowered Through Online Journalism Workshop in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A one-day training workshop titled ‘Online Journalism – Women Journalists' Empowerment was organized at the Telangana Media Academy in Nampally on Sunday. The workshop aimed to provide women journalists with crucial digital skills and an understanding of the evolving media landscape. Dr. Harish, Special Commissioner for Information and Public Relations, attended as the guest of honor. In his address, he emphasized the need for equal opportunities for women in journalism. He also mentioned that the Journalists’ Accreditation Study Committee, led by K. Srinivas Reddy from the Telangana Media Academy, has put forward special recommendations to improve the representation of women in the field. Dr. Harish encouraged the participants to draw inspiration from Nobel laureate Marie Curie, the first woman to win Nobel Prizes in both Physics and Chemistry, and to pursue excellence in their careers.
