The Cyber Crime unit recently apprehended a key offender involved in pirating several films, offering major relief to the film industry.
The film unit—producer Pappula Kanakadurga Rao, director Bhanu, coordinator Marri Ravikumar, lead actors Satvik Varma and Preethi Neha, and editor Shirish Prasad—met the DCP to express their gratitude. They urged continued support in protecting the film fraternity from such digital threats.
Director Bhanu remarked that piracy has long plagued filmmakers, causing huge financial losses. He emphasized the need for strict action against cyber criminals to safeguard cinema.
DCP Kavitha encouraged filmmakers to remain vigilant and report piracy-related crimes promptly to the cybercrime authorities.
