Samantha Makes Her Debut as Producer with “Subham”; Film Set to Release Worldwide on May 9

Visakhapatnam, India – Renowned actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has officially stepped into the world of film production with her debut venture Subham, under her newly launched banner Tra La La Moving Pictures. The film is scheduled for a global theatrical release on May 9, 2025, and promises to offer a unique blend of horror and comedy to Telugu cinema audiences.

A pre-release event for Subham was held in Visakhapatnam, where Samantha shared her excitement and vision behind the film.

> “Every time I come to Vizag, the films turn into blockbusters. The love from this city always inspires me. When I saw our director Praveen’s passion, I felt moved to support this story,” Samantha said. “Through Tra La La, I aim to create original stories and give opportunities to emerging talent. My goal is to entertain audiences with something fresh and heartfelt.”

Directed by Praveen Kandregula, Subham features a captivating score by Vivek Sagar and songs composed by Clinton Cerejo. The film’s team includes many first-time artists and rising stars, reflecting Samantha’s commitment to nurturing new talent.

Speaking at the event, Director Praveen Kandregula called Subham “a rare and refreshing horror-comedy that’s new to Telugu audiences,” adding, “This film wouldn’t have come to life without Samantha’s unwavering support.”

Writer Vasanth, who previously worked with Praveen on Cinema Bandi, praised the team’s collaborative spirit. “People often overlook the potential of serial-based storytelling, but we’ve used those elements innovatively in a horror format that’s family-friendly.”

Actor Harshith Reddy, playing the lead, said, “Samantha garu stands for honesty and quality in filmmaking. I’m proud to be a part of her first production. This film brought us all together as one team.”
