After the blockbuster success of "Sankranthi ki Vastunnam", Sri Venkateswara Creations presents another promising entertainer – Thammudu, starring Nithiin and directed by Sriram Venu. The film is set for a grand worldwide theatrical release on July 4th.

Actress Sapthami Gowda, who plays a key role as Ratna, opened up about her experience:

“After Kantara, I got a call from director Sriram Venu. I gave a look test in Hyderabad and got selected. I was asked to learn horse riding for my role, and we shot in Araku. Though the shoot got delayed due to Nithiin garu’s injury, the overall experience was enriching.”

Her character, Ratna, hails from a fictional village called Ambaragodugu and is a huge Pawan Kalyan fan. She adds, “Though visually similar to my Kantara look, Ratna’s character is entirely different — more fun-filled and adds humor to the film's serious backdrop.”

Sapthami reveals that her role, though not lengthy, is impactful. “Sriram Venu garu told me he enjoyed writing Ratna more than any other character. I was the first artist selected for the film,” she shared.

The film gives significant space to five strong women characters played by Sapthami Gowda, Laya, Dithya, Varsha Bollamma, and Swasika. “These characters are bold and diverse — from bus drivers to officers. We even have action scenes. Women will feel empowered watching us on screen,” she added.

Sapthami has a love track with Nithiin’s character that evolves from teen romance to mature emotion. She is excited to be part of a big Telugu banner and praises the director's uncompromising vision.

She concludes by urging audiences:

“This is a grand commercial film. Theatrical viewing will offer an unmatched experience. Watch Thammuduin cinemas — not at home!”

Sapthami also shared her interest in doing more commercial roles, inspired by Rashmika’s role in Pushpa, and is currently working on projects in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada.
