Indian Idol Season 12 champion Pawandeep Rajan met with a major road accident during the early morning hours of May 5, 2025, near Ahmedabad, around 3:40 AM, while reportedly en route to Delhi Airport.

He suffered serious injuries, especially to his left foot and right arm, and was immediately taken to a hospital in Ahmedabad for emergency treatment. Videos circulating online show him unconscious, attached to medical devices, with visible wounds and his arm in a cast.
