Tamannaah Bhatia is all set to entertain in a never-before-seen character in the highly anticipated movie "Odela 2." This is the sequel to the supernatural thriller "Odela Railway Station." Directed by Ashok Teja under the supervision of Sampath Nandi, produced by D Madhu under Madhu Creations and Sampath Nandi Teamworks, the movie is creating a huge buzz with its promotional content. Tamannaah will be seen in a mystery-filled role as a sage. Hebba Patel and Vasisht N. Simha play key roles. The movie's teaser has taken the expectations to the next level. One of the biggest attractions this summer, "Odela 2" will be released in theaters on April 17. During this occasion, heroine Hebba Patel shared details of the film in a press meet.
Did you expect a sequel to "Odela Railway Station" when the first film was made?
- "Odela Railway Station" was made during the lockdown period. Due to the coronavirus, all shootings were halted, and we didn’t know when they would resume. During this uncertain time, Sampath Nandi and the team courageously moved forward with "Odell." Honestly, I didn’t expect a sequel back then. The movie was a huge success, bigger than we had imagined. The audience loved it. However, I never anticipated that a sequel like this, on such a grand scale, would come. From a small initiative during the pandemic, "Odela" achieved great success, and now to bring "Odell 2" on a larger scale is very exciting.
What is the difference between "Odela1" and "Odela 2"?
- "Odela 1" was an out-and-out murder mystery. "Odela 2" is a supernatural thriller. Compared to "Odela" "Odela 2" is much bigger and features some spectacular elements. It will provide a great theatrical experience for the audience.
How are your combination scenes with Tamannaah?
- I have combination scenes with Tamannaah. She plays my sister in the film. However, most of my scenes are in the jail episodes. In the first part, my character had a strong impact, and in the second part, it will have an even greater impact.
What did "Kumari 21F" do for you?
- "Kumari 21F" gave me fame. "Odela" as an actor gave me credibility and confidence. It made me believe that I can perform any kind of role. As an actress, I have learned a lot from "Odela."
How was it working with Sampath Nandi?
- Sampath is a visionary filmmaker. When he first told me about my character in the "Odell" story, I was shocked. It was a performance-based role, and I wondered if I could pull it off. But Sampath encouraged me to try. His belief in me gave me a lot of confidence. Sampath is a kind and wonderful person. Working with him was a great experience.
What have you learned from Tamannaah?
- Tamannaah takes every character very seriously. I admired how she prepares for a character. For "Odela 2," she prepared wonderfully. Honestly, during "Odela ," I didn’t prepare much for my character. But I learned from Tamannaah that I need to work harder in the future and do thorough homework for my roles.
How was the direction of Ashok Teja?
- I worked with him in "Odela ." He is very clear in his direction. Sampath Nandi and Ashok Teja work very well together as a team. Working with Ashok Teja was a great experience.
What do you think of producer Madhu?
- Madhu took this project to the next level. He made sure there was no compromise and constructed the film on a grand scale. I hope the movie achieves massive success and brings him even more fame.
- The movie's muhurat was held in Kashi, and we launched the teaser during the Kumbh Mela. This story is deeply tied to spirituality and devotion. We believe the divine power will support us too.
What do you think of Ajneesh Loknath's music?
- Ajneesh’s music is a big asset to the film. His music takes the movie to another level. The background score is extraordinary, and the music he provided is perfect for a supernatural thriller.
How was it working with Vasisht?
- I acted with him for the first time in "Odela 1." He is an excellent actor. Working alongside him, I was inspired to give my best performance as well.
You've completed ten years in the industry. How has this journey been?
- This journey has been joyful. There have been ups and downs, but as an actress, I always stay happy. Success and failure are not permanent; what matters is the journey. I have learned a lot, and I believe I will continue to act for the next ten years.
What kind of characters would you like to play?
- I've tried various genres so far. I would love to do a full-fledged comedy entertainer.
What about new projects?
- I have two Telugu films ready for release. I am also doing a Kannada film, which will start next month.
