"HIT 3" – A Sensational Success Beyond Expectations : Director Sailesh Kolanu

Director Sailesh Kolanu shared insights about the blockbuster success of “HIT: The 3rd Case”at a recent press meet. He expressed surprise and joy at the overwhelming response, particularly from family audiences, stating, “We expected a niche crowd, but families are showing up in large numbers, especially women. It’s heartening to see.”

Natural Star Nani’s intense portrayal of Arjun Sarkaar in this action-packed thriller, co-starring Srinidhi Shetty, has struck a chord with viewers across demographics. Produced by Prashanti Tipirneni under Wall Poster Cinema and Nani’s own banner, the film released pan-India on May 1st and is running successfully with blockbuster status.

Kolanu revealed that Nani was convinced about the role from the beginning, and both shared confidence in the premise. He added, “We designed Arjun’s character keeping in mind a gritty and violent tone. Surprisingly, it resonated well with female audiences too.”

The film dives into dark web crime with research support from the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh police departments. The director emphasized, “Dark web is a major issue, and we explored it in depth thanks to official help.”

On future plans, Kolanu hinted that “HIT 4” will feature a more rooted and fun version of Karthik’s character and dreams of uniting all franchise heroes in a larger canvas. On cameo choices, he mentioned that every character and voice—including Chaganti's narration—served a strong purpose.

He praised Rao Ramesh and Samuthirakani for their impactful roles and expressed a desire to collaborate again with Venkatesh. Speaking about Srinidhi Shetty, he said she was a perfect fit and delivered an impressive performance.

Kolanu also hinted at a genre shift, planning to write a romantic comedy next. He credited his detailed investigation sequences to his early crime literature readings during his time in Sydney.

In a somber note, he expressed grief over the recent tragic incident in Pahalgam, where part of the movie was filmed. “It’s a beautiful place and this news is heartbreaking,” he said.
