Dr. M. Mohan Babu Pays Tribute to the Late Kota Srinivasa Rao

Veteran Tollywood actor Dr. M. Mohan Babu visited the residence of late legendary actor Kota Srinivasa Rao, offering heartfelt condolences to his family and reflecting on their decades-long friendship.
Expressing his grief, Mohan Babu recalled the deep bond he shared with Kota Srinivasa Rao, describing him as not just a colleague but a true friend who was close to his heart.
“Kota Srinivasa Rao was a dear friend—someone I held in great regard. Unfortunately, I was not in Hyderabad when the tragic news of his passing came. I was deeply shocked. I came today to personally express my condolences to his family,” he told the media.
He emotionally recounted a conversation they had around the release of Kannappa:
“Kota garu called to congratulate me and said how impressed he was with the film. He especially praised Vishnu’s performance—it meant a lot to me coming from him.”
Reflecting on their professional journey, Mohan Babu shared a fond memory:
“In 1987, I cast him in a key role as a magician and villain in Veera Pratap, a film I produced under my home banner. From then on, we acted together in many films, both in my productions and others.”
Remembering Kota Srinivasa Rao’s exceptional talent, he added:
“He was a powerhouse performer—whether it was villainy, comedy, or character roles, he could deliver with unmatched voice modulation and grace. He breathed life into every role.”
Mohan Babu concluded by emphasizing the personal loss:
“He was more than a co-star; he was like family. His absence leaves a deep void—not just in our hearts, but in the entire Telugu film industry. I pray for his soul to rest in peace and offer my deepest support to his family in this time of sorrow.”
