Dacoit Review: Did Dacoit loot the box office?

Adivi Sesh stars opposite Mrunal Thakur in the film Dacoit. Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Kamakshi Bhaskarla and Atul Kulkarni play pivotal supporting roles. Shaniel Deo serves as the director, while Adivi Sesh and Shaniel Deo penned the story and screenplay. This film is set to be released in Hindi and Telugu on April 10th. While numerous love stories have graced the screen in the past, it remains to be seen whether this particular love story will capture the hearts of the audience—and whether the film will succeed in conquering the box office.

As for the story, the film bears the English title "Dacoit” and the tagline "A Love Story." The movie explores how a love story transforms into a "Dacoit”. Adivi Sesh stars as Hari, while Mrunal Thakur plays the role of Saraswathi; even here, their romance did not feel artificial or contrived. We have witnessed in numerous films the distinctive manner in which Adivi Sesh selects and portrays his characters. The movies Adivi Sesh chooses to act in are consistently heartwarming and deeply touching.

This film features Mrunal Thakur, Sita Ramam—an actress who has captivated audiences with her performances in acclaimed films like Hi Nanna and who possesses the rare ability to act through her eyes. Both actors have done full justice to their respective roles. The film's narrative explores what transpired in their love story and why circumstances compelled them to adopt a deceptive guise. Supporting actors such as Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, and Kamakshi have also performed their roles admirably. Furthermore, the film's music is already creating a buzz across social media platforms.

As a debutant director, Shanil Deo's direction is excellent.

It must be said that the film's producer, Supriya Yarlagadda, made absolutely no compromises. Finally, to sum it up, the movie features unexpected twists; however, as you walk out of the theatre, you will undoubtedly take with you the essence of a beautiful love story.
