Chitrapuri Colony President Vallabhaneni Anil Kumar Responds to Allegations

Hyderabad:Chitrapuri Colony President Vallabhaneni Anil Kumar clarified various allegations circulating in the media for the past few years. Addressing the media at Film Chamber, he spoke about new constructions like Sapphire Suites, row houses, duplexes, and towers being developed with proper permissions.

He expressed concern over individuals with no link to the colony making baseless corruption claims and creating fear among residents. He welcomed anyone with valid evidence to come forward and assured complete transparency.
Key Highlights:
Regular resident meetings are held every six months to discuss issues.
Allegations of ₹3000+ crore corruption are exaggerated; the colony's current worth is between ₹700–₹850 crores.
4713 families currently reside in the colony.
All constructions since 2009, including recent G+2 row houses, have followed legal permissions.
The Sapphire Suites project (51 floors) will begin this Shravanam, fully approved and essential for clearing a ₹170 crore debt within 48 months.
Water supply is uninterrupted through Manjeera connections.
Membership is strictly for cine workers; currently, only 60% fit the criteria. Non-eligible entries post-2023 will be removed.
Cine journalists, distributors, exhibitors, and members of 24 crafts are eligible for flats.
Flats will be allotted transparently, with no injustice to genuine film industry workers.
General Body Meeting in September will address all accusations formally.
Past financial challenges were supported by Chadalavada Srinivas, avoiding property auctions.
Committee supports removal of members only under two reasons: non-payment or non-cine background.
Present at the media interaction were Secretary Dorai and committee members Lalitha, Ramakrishna, Raghu, Lahari, and others.
