Arun Rayadurgam: From Theatre to Cinema with Sincerity

Arun Rayadurgam’s journey into cinema began on stage, where years of theatre honed his craft and discipline. A Computer Science graduate from Sathyabama University and former HCL engineer, Arun trained at the Balu Mahendra Film Institute before fully immersing himself in Tamil Nadu’s theatre scene.
He collaborated with renowned theatre names like Bagu, Arunmozhi Shivaprakasam, and Veli Rangarajan, and became a core member of the theatre collective Thinainilavaasigal. Performing everything from stage plays to street theatre across India, Arun built his foundation on versatility and humility.
Veteran actor Nassar played a key role in Arun’s growth — mentoring him, offering rehearsal space, and even casting him in a Tamil film (later shelved), which further deepened Arun’s commitment to acting.
After gaining experience in Kannada cinema as a character artist, Arun made his lead debut with 1990’s, now reaching Telugu audiences. For Arun, cinema is not just performance — it’s an extension of the sincerity and discipline theatre taught him.
