I played a very challenging role in Paradha. The response to the premieres has been overwhelming — a film like this hasn’t come before. It’s a soulful story that everyone, especially families, will connect with.”

Directed by Cinema Bandi fame Praveen Kandregula, Paradha is supported by The Family Man creators Raj & DK. The film features Anupama alongside Darshana Rajendran, Sangeetha, and others. Produced by Vijay Donkada under Anand Media.

🎥 What drew her to the film?“The story was incredibly fresh — not just for Telugu, but Indian cinema. My character was central and expressive without many dialogues. It was emotionally intense and deeply connected to me as a woman.”

🎭 On the emotional connection:“There’s a scene with Rajendra Prasad garu that really moved me. Even today, I don't have an answer to the question it raises. The metaphor of the bird in that scene sums up the entire film.”

🎶 On Gopi Sundar’s music:“The background score, especially during the self-immolation scene, brought me to tears. I cried alone in my car. His music elevated the film to another level.”

💬 On working with co-stars:“The hotel scene with Sangeetha and Darshana was so organic that it built our chemistry instantly. We’ve become great friends.”

🗣️ Final message to the audience:Parada is bold, emotional, and honest. It’s not your typical film — it’ll make you reflect. Bring your families. You’ll relate to the characters and leave with something to think about.”

💫 On 10 years in the industry:“I never imagined I’d be this accepted in another language. Telugu audiences gave me love, taught me their language, and I’m always grateful.”
