81 candidates in the Jubilee Hills by-election race.

After a long scrutiny of the nominations of 81 people, the Returning Officer Sai Ram accepted them. The scrutiny lasted for about 17 hours, that is, the scrutiny started at 11 am on Wednesday and continued till the early hours of Thursday. 211 people filed 321 sets of nominations, out of which 130 nominations were rejected for various reasons. The nominations of independent candidates who were not recognized by the Election Commission were rejected. Friday is the last day for withdrawal of nominations.
