Andhra King Taluka – Review

ree

Andhra King Taluka, starring Ram Pothineni and Bhagyasri Borse, is written and directed by Mahesh Babu P and produced by Naveen Erneni and Y. Ravi Shankar. The film features music by the composer duo Vivek–Mervin and cinematography by Siddhartha Nooni. Upendra, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Rajiv Kanakala, Tulasi, and others appear in prominent roles. The film was released in theatres on November 27.

Ram Pothineni delivers a commendable performance as Sagar, an ardent fan of a top hero. He brings energy, authenticity, and emotional depth to the character. His portrayal, especially in the fan-centric sequences, stands out for its conviction and charisma.

Bhagyasri Borse impresses as Mahalakshmi. Her retro styling and screen presence complement the role well, and her chemistry with Ram Pothineni adds charm to the narrative.

Upendra, appearing as superstar Surya, makes a strong impact despite limited screen time. His presence elevates key moments in the film. Rao Ramesh’s performance adds further weight, while Murali Sharma, Tulasi, Satya, Rahul, and Ramakrishna offer solid support in their respective roles.

Vivek–Mervin’s music enhances the film’s mood and contributes to its entertainment quotient. Mahesh Babu P’s direction is effective, particularly in his handling of the emotional beats and the story’s backdrop. His vision for the film is clear and well-executed.

Among the film’s strengths are Ram Pothineni’s performance, Mahesh Babu’s direction, the emotional core, and the overall narrative environment. However, the pacing falters at times, making portions of the film feel slower than necessary.

Verdict:

Andhra King Taluka succeeds on the strength of its performances and emotional storytelling, though a tighter pace would have made it even more engaging.
